The LyriK Youth Incentive Awards is a prestigious annual event recognising the achievements of young people within the City of Kwinana.  The evening is also an opportunity for a variety of stakeholders and families to join as a community and celebrate and embrace Youth Leadership. Positive, impactful, and fun initiatives and projects that can make our youth feel like they can be part of solutions to some of our biggest problems are an important part of solving those problems.

On Friday 29 June 2018, two Peter Carnley Anglican Community School students were recognised for their contributions to the local community. Lewis Wipp and Ebonie Cortez were among a handful of inspiring young men and women on the evening who are not only making a direct impact in their school and local communities, they are inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

They were both respective winners in their categories. The LyriK (Leadership, Youth Respect in Kwinana) Awards are held annually at the Koorliny Arts Centre and highlight the importance of community-minded people within the City of Kwinana and their emphasis on engaging with young people, encouraging them to have a voice and to use that voice to make a positive change in our world.
