Pyramid Project

Over the term break, three Year 3G students enjoyed completing an extension project, which required them to design and construct a pyramid, similar to those of Egypt.  These structures have survived years of erosion, harsh temperatures, human contact, and still stand long after construction.

The students challenge was to construct a pyramid that would withstand rain (5 litres from a watering can) and 5 minutes of harsh wind.

Although the students were lucky it wasn’t too windy on the test day, all three pyramids passed the test.  The bodies inside (sand and rice) were preserved!
