A Day with the Archbishop

On Wednesday 2 September, The Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy AO, Archbishop of Perth visited both the PCACS Wellard and Calista campuses.

Archbishop Kay attended the Junior School Chapel service in the morning where she gave a blessing as part of the service.  

Principal, Ms Felicity House also unveiled an Art Aquisition portrait of Archbishop Kay, which the School commissioned aspiring artist Jacinta Posik to paint. Throughout the day, Archbishop Kay joined a Year 2 RAVE class, a Year 8 Music lesson, a Year 12 Maths lesson and finished her time at the Wellard campus in the Admin Seminar Room where the Senior School Prefects, members of the Student Council and Junior School Captains had the opportunity to ask questions and have a thought-provoking discussion.

After lunch Archbishop Kay visited the Early Learning classes at the Calista campus.  Students had the opportunity to chat with Archbishop Kay and showcase some of their work and classroom activities.
