PCACS Basketball Academy

The PCACS Basketball Academy has the following aims:

  • Creating recreational opportunities for students to learn and play a sport while developing the essential technical skills, fitness, and mental approach required for higher-level competitive success.
  • Support the basketballer to become a better player in their Domestic or WABL competition and aspire to participate in national and international basketball competitions.
  • Promote the personal development of students with a focus on teamwork, fair play, and leadership.
  • Encourage students to contribute to community sports as players, coaches and umpires.
  • Support the School’s vision of offering a specialist programme to increase PCACS Basketball quality at an Interschool and Club level.
  • To develop a high-quality, high-profile specialist sports programme that contributes to the reputation of Peter Carnley Anglican Community School.

Applications are now CLOSED for 2025 for Senior School students currently enrolled at PCACS or have an enrolment application in progress.

Students currently in the Year 7 Basketball Academy do not need to reapply but DO need to attend the trials to hold their place in the Year 8 Basketball Academy.

Individual feedback will not be offered to students who have not been selected for the programme for 2025.
