Academic Excellence at PCACS

In Week 2 of Term 3, the Junior School and Senior School celebrated the first Semester's student Academic Excellence results with consecutive assemblies.

During the Junior School assembly, 43 Bronze Certificates and 15 Silver Certificates were awarded to students.  This is an outstanding result for these students and there is an exciting culture of Student Achievement and Personal Bests emerging in Junior School in 2019!

In a NAIDOC-themed assembly, students acknowledged and reflected on the array of activities they participated in last Term in Week 10, focussing on the theme, 'Voice. Treaty. Truth.'  The Collaborative artwork between artist Tiahna Oxenham and the Year 4 students was once again acknowledged and Tiahna's mother Donna Kelly accepted a gift on her behalf.  The incredible passion from the Junior School teachers and students is infectious and this year's NAIDOC Week celebrations really brought out the creativity and enthusiasm from all classes.

Congratulations to the 81 Senior School students who were presented a Certificate of Academic Excellence at the Senior School Assembly; these awards were handed out for achieving high academic results for Semester 1.  A special mention must be made to Year 7 student Chudy Isidienu who is to be congratulated for achieving all ‘A’ grades in his Semester 1 report.  An outstanding result Chudy!

Students who competed in the ASC Piano Competition at the end of Term 2 were also acknowledged by Ms Alicia Walter and presented certificates by Principal, Ms Felicity House.

Congratulations to all students who are achieving their academic goals and to the staff and students responsible for the organisation and smooth running of both assemblies.
