KIC iWOMEN Project

The KIC iWOMEN Project exposes students to the numerous career opportunities in industry, giving them an insight into what industry does, and what industry expects of employees. It aims to trigger an awareness that careers in industry are in fact achievable to them.

The program highlights the commitment that Kwinana industry has to engaging students in the workforce and provides an opportunity for young females to see what industry really looks like. As a part of a group, participants identify the employment and career pathways in the Kwinana Industrial Area (KIA); a significant industrial region of Western Australia. This is achieved through industry excursions and meeting people employed in industry. In addition to the excursions, students actively participate in workshop sessions, which cover resume writing, mock interviews and other activities, to give them the confidence to realise their full potential.

We wish to congratulate Anje Malherbe, Leena Southam and Emma Galbraith, who successfully completed the 2019 iWomen Programme.
