KSSA Swimming Carnival - Junior School

On Friday 3 May, PCACs Junior School students participated at the KSSA Swimming Carnival. It was a great day out and a wonderful opportunity for students to compete against schools in the local community in a supportive and positive environment. We started very strongly with Chace Jolley and Josh Allen both winning their open 50m Freestyle races and this set the tone for the rest of the team who carried on the strong form throughout the day. The Year 6 members of our team where particularly ruthless across all strokes and they won every individual race and relay they entered, putting our team in a commanding position. The students from Years 4 and 5 pressed this advantage and had some excellent results themselves.

The students were rewarded for the time and effort they put into before school training as they won the championship and brought the Charlie Ballard Shield back to PCACs. This was a great result which was made better by the students' behaviour and strong support within our group.  Throughout the entire day students from different yeargroups were encouraging each other and it was a great environment to be involved in. I'd would like to take the chance to pass on a massive thank you to Kylie Trent, Danae Jolley as well as Darren and Tenille Walters for their assistance at the carnival and also to all the parents who came and cheered us on today or have been coming to before school training.
