PCACS Fighting Homelessness

Today Friday 7 August, staff and students supported Homelessness Week by dressing up in clothing from Op Shops and purchasing items in the Pop Up Op Shop in the undercover area, where items were donated by staff and students.  Additionally, hot soup and bread rolls were on sale, all proceeds going towards Anglicare WA's Street Connect Bus, an incredible mode of support for helping young people in need.

Tonight, 24 students and 4 staff will be participating at the Anglicare Sleepout, armed with only cardboard to sleep on, additionally, funds will be raised for the Anglicare Street Connect Bus and awareness of youth homelessness. The sleep out provides the students with the opportunity to experience a night in the cold with little else other than their sleeping bag and layers of clothing as experienced by over 116,000 Australians every night. Of those, over 3,000 are Western Australians under the age of 25.

If you would like to support the students who are sleeping out, please leave a positive comment below or contribute financially through this link: https://anglicarewaschoolsleepout.org.au/t/team-peter-carnl…
