PCACS Netball Fundraising

The importance of sport in school encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. Increases in self-esteem and mental alertness make school sports necessary for every school age child.  Learning life skills like teamwork, leadership and patience as well as building up a healthy competitive spirit are crucial to a young person's development.

As well as sport as part of the curriculum, PCACS offer a variety of competitive sports after school and on weekends.

Peter Carnley Netball Club has been running for over eight years now and in that time they have had six grand final wins. Games are played through Rockingham Districts Netball Association at Mike Barnett Centre in Rockingham on Saturdays.  Parent volunteers and student coaches dedicate their time every week of the season to ensure all players can enjoy their season.

At the School on Thursday 4 April, under the guidance of Kylie Trent, players from the PCACS teams held a bake sale at lunchtime to raise funds for the club. It was well-supported by all students and these types of initiatives ensure the club can continue to grow.
