Year 10 Geography Field Trip - Penguin Island

On Monday 20 March, the Year 10 Geography students experienced Penguin Island and Conservation Park as part of their fieldwork studies. The field trip is designed to give students an understanding of coastal processes and how they shape the coastline and affect biodiversity. Additionally, students can explore Penguin Island and surrounding areas to better understand the marine environment and how it needs to be protected.

Students enjoyed a guided boat cruise throughout the bay, spotting various marine wildlife including sea lions, dolphins, and birds. Following a walk around the island, students visited the discovery centre and enjoyed the little penguins up close and learning about their intriguing lifestyle.
