Year 6 Earthquake Resistant Building - Science

The Year 6 students have been working in teams of 3 to design and build an earthquake resistant building.  The buildings were made out of Popsicles and glue and needed to be strong enough to withstand an earthquake simulation using a shaker table.  All students in each group has a specific task including a Project Manager, Chief Architect and Materials and Safety Coordinator.  Senior School Science teacher Mr Adam Lakey was surprised how sturdy and strong most of the projects were, with nearly all of them withstanding the earthquake!
