Happy 15th Birthday PCACS!
We are celebrating our 15th Anniversary this year with a significant focus on Founders’ Day, with more events planned for later in the year including a PCACS 15 photo. Founders’ Day is celebrated in mid-June to coincide with the Blessing of the Site, held on 17 June 2006, with the first buildings constructed for the opening in 2007. Reflecting back on the first 15 years of the School, there are many stories to tell and Mr Cam Allen has captured memories in the form of a Founders’ Day video.
The images really highlight the growth of the School. In 2007, we opened with 16 staff and 128 students. Today we have 142 staff and 1165 students across two campuses. On walking through the School now, it is a credit to our Founders that the site was planned with attractive buildings, encompassed by bushland, adding a wonderful aesthetic to the grounds. We have grown in staff and student numbers, in our philosophy of personal best, aspiration and positivity, in courses and opportunities for students and in buildings. The construction of the Chapel is now complete and the Hub building will be completed later in the year. The School Council will soon begin a new master planning exercise to design the next phase of the School’s development.
Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy AO, Reverend Peter Laurence OAM and our School Patron, Dr Peter Carnley AC together with our Chair, Mr Philip Goldsworthy, Mayor Carol Adams and a number of distinguished guests joined us for our 15th Anniversary Founders’ Day Service on Friday 17 June. The Welcome to Country was delivered by Councillor Barry Winmar, a wonderful contribution to our service. As part of the Founders’ Day Service, we recognise staff who have been serving at PCACS for 10 years and 15 years by presenting them with a Service badge and certificate. I congratulate them on reaching these milestones and for their contribution to the School.

It is very fitting that we open the Grace Chapel this week in step with Founders’ Day, with the official Dedication Service by Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy on Tuesday June 21. Next term Chapel Services will move into Grace Chapel and there will be opportunities for events including the Valedictory to be held along with many other occasions.
In our 15th year, we have much to celebrate!
God bless.
