As Term 3 has drawn to a close, we have much to celebrate. We end every term with the Principal’s Assembly where I reflect on the achievements and successes of the term. In Term 3, the assembly was followed by the finale of Peter Carnley’s Got Talent. It is a joyous way to end the term. On reflecting with the students on Term 3, I was amazed at how many events and activities the students were involved in. It is a testimony to the rich and diverse array of opportunities on offer for our PCACS students. From ELC Tabloid sports, NAIDOC week, YOH Fest, Science Week, Book Week, Arts and Technologies Week, RUOK Day, the school production of Xanadu, ASC Schools Week, RKAS, KSSA, ACC sports, there’s something for everyone. Here is our end of Term 3 video capturing the events of the Term. Thank you to Mr Allen for putting it together for us.
Arts and Technologies Week and Exhibition
We opened Arts and Technologies Week with the Ignite Arts and Technologies Exhibition on Friday 17 September night. A showcase of visual art, woodwork, metalwork, textiles and wearable art, the exhibition included music performances, dance and a fashion parade. Artist Monique Ford was our guest artist, opening our exhibition by reminding the audience of the importance of creative expression with an emphasis on the process, not the end result. The work on display certainly highlighted the creative abilities of our students. I thank our Arts and Technologies staff for their inspiration.
Hub Update
The construction of the Hub building is now in full swing. The demolition work has been undertaken and the new ground floor slab will be poured over the holidays. The ground floor slab will connect the old library to the old undercover area. This part of the building will house the new café, auditorium, dance room, classroom and IT helpdesk. Later in the build, the new upper floor will be constructed to form the new technology and learning centre upstairs.

Staff news
We wish Mr James Morris well as he takes Long Service Leave next term. Mrs Jane Watts will return from parental leave and Mrs Hollie Dunn continue in the role of Director of Upper Junior in replacement of Mr Morris.
We have been seeking an ICT Manager and we will be joined by Mr Paul Wright at the start of Term 4. Paul comes to us from Rocky Bay Ltd where he is the Senior Systems Administrator. Paul has extensive experience in schools, most recently as the ICT Manager at Newman College.
I also have the pleasure of announcing that Mr Adam Halliday has been appointed to the new role of Head of Operations for 2022 as Mr Shane Parnell moves to the Anglican Schools Commission as the Director of Information Technologies. We congratulate both Adam and Shane as they prepare to move to their promotion roles in 2022.
As we have commenced School holidays, I wish our families, students and staff a restful break.
God bless.
Ms Felicity House
