Week 4
Term 4 holds the promise of end of year events and Christmas and these are fast approaching. ATAR exams are in full swing, the new student leaders for 2022 have been announced and the Prefects are already busy taking on their roles. Kindergarten 2022 Orientations are being held and the Transition Days for Junior School and the 2022 Year 7s will be held next week to introduce the students to their new classrooms, staff and experiences. If you are at the Baldivis Fair tomorrow, do come past the PCACS stall, Mr Cam Allen, our Community Relations and Marketing Officer, would love to see you.
Outdoor Rec Camp
The Year 11 Outdoor Recreation students have been enjoying themselves at camp in Margaret River this week. Activities included canoeing and a bush tucker tour, caving, walking a section of the Cape to Cape. I was thrilled to join them for abseiling at Wilyabrup. The support of the group to ensure that even the most hesitant took the descent down the sea cliffs was heart-warming to observe.
2022 Student Leadership
Last week we held our Student Leader Announcement Assembly. The assembly brought the Junior School and Senior School together to announce the student leaders for 2022. The School Prefects were announced along with the Junior School Captains. We are blessed with potential leaders and the selection process was a difficult one. I thank all the candidates for putting themselves forward and acknowledge the students who missed out on a role for the dignity and grace in which they handled the news. Several of our Prefects spent a day at the WAASA Leaders Day. Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy and The Reverend Peter Laurence challenged them to think deeply about leadership within an Anglican School. Leadership activities and meaningful discussions with fellow leaders across WA Anglican Schools made the day a rewarding one.
