The End of Year is in Sight
As the final weeks of the School year approach, the calendar is full of end of year events to celebrate an exceptional year in the life of PCACS. As the ATAR exams finish, we wish the Year 12s well as they await their results. The Year 10 and 11 students have also completed their exams this week. I wish all our students well as they prepare for final assessments and end of year activities.
The Year 9s are now preparing for the final stages of The Rite Journey with their camp and final ceremony in the coming weeks. The Year 10s are readying themselves for Work Experience to equip them with insights into their chosen work placements. PCACS is one of the few schools to support a work experience programme. It is testimony to our commitment to preparing future ready students.
2024 Transition Day
There was much excitement mixed with a few nerves on Friday for the Transition Day. Whilst the most excited were undoubtedly the Year 1s who came across from Calista to Wellard to be Year 2s for the day, joyous sounds of Year 6s were also heard throughout the School as the 2024 Year 7s came into Senior School for the day. Our Year 6 students were joined by over sixty students who join our PCACS family next year. All these students made the beginnings of new friendships and we can’t wait to see them again for Orientation Day in January.
Carols on the Green
Tuesday 28 November is our Carols on the Green event which will begin with a Community Picnic at 4.00pm. The Carols Service begins on the oval at 6.00pm. Thank you to the P&F for organising the food trucks. Carnley’s Cuppas will also be open and operated by our student baristas.
We will be supporting the Anglicare WA Christmas Appeal by collecting gold coin donations and raffling 3 Christmas hampers. You can get your tickets through Trybooking.
This year we will again be collecting new stationery items and gift cards for Anglicare to distribute to families in need. The donations last year were so generous, and I thank everyone for considering the children who will benefit from starting the year with new stationary items. Donations of new school supplies or gift cards can be placed in the yellow collection wheelie bins in Reception at both Wellard and Calista Campus. Donations will be taken until 29 November.
I wish you well for these final weeks of the School year and hope to see you at the Awards Ceremonies, the Nativity at Calista or Carols on the Green.
God bless.
