Welcome to Week 4
The 2023 School year is a complete contrast to the start of 2022 and 2021. With the worst of the pandemic behind us, the year has begun with the rituals and rhythm of a ‘normal’ year. Indeed, there is a delightful energy around the School as everyone settles in with an air of gratitude and excitement.
The Campuses are a hive of activities, Chapels, Assemblies, incursions and excursions. Junior School students are coming to the end of their swimming lessons, Year 7s have had immunisations, Year 11 and 12 Outdoor Recreation students have been having surfing lessons, RKAS sports is underway, our Anglicare Ambassadors have attended the Anglican Ambassadors School Launch with The Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy AO, Archbishop of Perth. Today with lovely weather, we held the Senior School House Swimming Carnival.
Next week we wish our Year 5 and Year 7 students and staff the best as they set off on camp. We wish our Basketball Academy students all the best as they compete in their first competition of the year.
Carpark
Thank you to all parents and carers for responding promptly to the traffic protocols communication Mr Adam Halliday sent out. The Kiss and Go will be coned off until close to 3.10pm. Students are released from classes at 3.10pm so please do not enter the grounds prior to 3.10pm unless you intend to park. It’s best to give the students time to leave the classroom and make their way to the Kiss and Go. By 3.15pm they will be waiting for you as you drive through. The Year 2 students are being released a little earlier to be collected from the area near the Uniform Shop. This is designed to ease the traffic and we ask that you respect this protocol and leave the area free for Year 2 parents to collect their children. Another reminder for Abingdon Crescent is to leave the Bus Bays free for the buses to enter and exit. The Bus Bay is not a parking or pick up zone. There are still places on the buses should you like to utilise these three bus services.
Please visit the School Bus Services webpage for more information about bus routes and registrations.
God bless.
Ms Felicity House
