Looking Forward to Founders’ Day
Only a year ago we were amidst COVID-19 restrictions which meant that we could not gather for our Founders’ Day activities. Instead we prepared a video to capture the sentiment of day. We are blessed this year to be able to celebrate Founders’ Day in our true PCACS style. A number of activities have been planned including buddy activities, a picnic lunch and Founders’ Day Competitions and the Junior School Colour run. A special part of the day will see the Year 12 students travel to Calista for buddy activities. I am sure both the early learners and the Year 12s will delight in their time together.
The Founders’ Day Service will begin at 10am and we are honoured that Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy will be presiding. We are also honoured that our School Patron, Dr Peter Carnley, will join us. His legacy is an extraordinary one. A deep thinker who continually searches for meaning and knowledge, Dr Carnley became the Archbishop of Perth at the age of only 43 and later Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of Dr Carnley’s Installation and Dedication. Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy marked the occasion by hosting a dinner for those most connected with Dr Carnley, many of whom were at his Installation. House patron, Bishop David Murray and our Chair Philip Goldsworthy were also in attendance. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Service and long serving staff will receive 5 year and 10 year Staff Service Badges. Parents are welcome to join us for the Founders’ Day Service. Please be seated in the Keith Lindbeck Centre by 9:45am.
Enrolments
We now are enrolling for 2022 with Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Year 7 interviews currently underway. We have enrolled new students in the last few weeks and welcome more new families for the start of Term 3. If you know any families who are considering a place at PCACS, please encourage them to contact us on enrolments@pcacs.wa.edu.au, view our website or follow us on Facebook as planning for 2022 is underway. Mr Cam Allen is available for custom tours should new or existing families wish to tour part or all of our School, please see our website to book a tour.
Traffic and Parking on Abingdon Crescent
We ask that families are respectful of our neighbours and be mindful not to block traffic or access to driveways or the laneway. Some neighbours have let us know about recent incidents of speeding and inconsiderate driving. Please be mindful of the neighbours and other road users. Student safety should be everyone’s highest priority.
God bless
Ms Felicity House
